The Barn at Dale End House is located amongst open lush green fields dotted with sheep and a babbling brook. With breathtaking countryside views and an abundance of wildlife, The Barn is a welcome addition to this already wonderful place to stay.
"We discovered Dale End House whilst mountain biking through Gratton Dale," explains Paul Summers, half of the husband and wife team responsible for converting the old farm buildings into stunning up to date accommodation with a very elegant feel. "Our main aim is to be very different from other holiday accommodation lets, with the idea of offering very reasonable prices for those who simply want a short break away in the countryside."
The Barn is a brand-new addition to an already thriving holiday accommodation business. Having taken months to convert, the process has finally drawn to a close, making Paul and Sarah nervous as the deadline drew near. But the bulldozers have finally finished and the painters and other contractors have packed up their tools, ready for the first lucky people to occupy The Barn next weekend.
As one of the largest holiday accommodation annexes in the Peak District, Dale End House is perfect for those who want to get away for a long weekend break with family or friends, a place to celebrate a special occasion, a chance to take over all the buildings with interconnecting internal rooms, adding that little bit of extra security for families with little ones. It's perfect for celebrating and bringing everyone together in one place at very affordable prices, but it's also a very private place, with stables dividing the courtyard, offering total seclusion for those who want it.
"Our aim is to be flexible with our guests," explains Sarah, "We hire out the entire place for groups at weekends and individually to couples wanting a romantic retreat. We have the availability to offer bed and breakfast if our guests require it, ideal for those on a walking holiday and are just passing through. We collect morning fresh eggs supplied by our very own hens, and sausages and bacon sourced from local suppliers. It's a great base for walkers and cyclists, and we also welcome well behaved dogs too, so all the family is welcome."
For larger groups or families, all the accommodation at Dale End House is available on a room by room basis, offering the chance for a last minute break at the weekend or in the middle of the week, depending on availability, for those who like to take a chance on the weather. Paul and Sarah can supply lots of extra beds to add extra occupancy to any room, making Dale End House as large or as small as required. They are also available to cater if required, often delivering breakfast and other meals direct to the door when asked, and leaving their guests to enjoy the spoils.
Available to sleep up to 8, The Barn opens on May 24th with bookings already being taken.
