A Good Showing of Brownies at Carsington

A bright sunny start to the season at Carsington saw every boat out on the water early.   There was a cold wind coming off the dam wall and this coupled with the bright sun will probably keep the fish fairly near the bottom in the shallower parts of the reservoir which is pretty normal on this water.   A number of limit bags were reported by lunchtime with a good showing of brownies amongst the fish caught.   It is too early to say what methods are best but buzzer fishing is always productive at this time of year plus the usual, Black/green combination and Hot Orange likely to show amongst the bigger fly patterns.    The first Casting Instruction day is on the 2nd April for those wishing to learn the sport.   Details from the fishery on 01629 540478 or by email on
