Cressbrook Hall...

The Hall occupies a magnificent location, overlooking a natural limestone gorge created by the River Wye. Designed by Thomas Johnson of Lichfield and built in 1835, the hall has remained in private ownership and most of its original features are remarkably well preserved. The grounds and gardens, presently being restored to the original planting plan, are open to the public during the Summer. Cressbrook Hall is an imposing family home which we enjoy sharing with guests in an informal and friendly fashion.

Bedrooms are all en suite with tea/coffee, T.V. and most have wonderful views of Water-cum-Jolly and Upperdale. 1 x double, 1 x twin and 1 x family suite. You may prefer to occupy a property in the grounds and come in to the Hall for one of our special breakfasts.

WEDDING RECEPTIONS AND CORPORATE OPPORTUNITIES

Cressbrook Hall provides a venue for wedding receptions, management training/team building/personal development courses and family reunions. The recently restored orangery is airy and elegant, giving 65 square metres of space for receptions, lectures and productions. It is now the central feature of the south facade, giving direct access to the formal gardens and to the north conservatory. Guests and delegates are accommodated in cottages and/or Cressbrook Hall, and the Hall grounds provide a wonderful setting for photographs and outdoor exercises. We have a fascinating dew pond inhabited by newts, frogs, etc which attracts many species of birds and wildlife.
