The ever popular Tudor Group makes its first visit to Haddon Hall for the 2013 season on Saturday April 20 and Sunday April 21 for a weekend of authentic Tudor Cookery.
Haddon Hall has one of the finest surviving examples of a Tudor kitchen complete with scorch marks on the timber partition wall where candles were placed for light on dull winter days and dark evenings.
The Tudor Group will bring this medieval kitchen to life with their Tudor Cookery Weekend of events providing an opportunity to see first hand how a Tudor feast was prepared and served.
The group’s costumed historians are happy to share their knowledge and enthusiasm and the event provides a chance to experience the sounds and aromas of an authentic Tudor kitchen at work.
There is also a rare opportunity to see the Haddon Hall bread ovens fired and working.
There are several opportunities to see the Tudor Group at Haddon Hall throughout the 2013 season including a Tudor Wedding Weekend on June 22 and 23, Tudor Muster on September 7 and 8 and a Tudor Christmas on December 7 and 8.
