Fine art exhibition at Chatsworth

Peak District Artisans’ 2013 Spring Showcase will take place at Chatsworth next year, exhibiting the works of an eclectic line-up of artists, designer-makers and craftspeople from across the Peak District.

The Peak District home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire will host the exhibition from 8th January to 2nd March. Works from 35 members of PDA will be displayed in two rooms adjoining the Carriage House Restaurant in its striking setting of James Paine’s rusticated Stables.

This is the second time the group has collectively exhibited at Chatsworth since their tenth anniversary in 2001. PDA Chairman, Chris Farrow said: “It’s fantastic to be invited back to this stunning venue. The Spring Showcase marks the beginning of our exciting 2013 exhibition programme.”

Chatsworth’s Head of Catering and Retail, Richard Palmer commented: “We are delighted to welcome the Peak District Artisans to Chatsworth. The exhibition will be an excellent showcase of the talent the Peak District has to offer, and I’m sure visitors to the shops and restaurant during the winter season will be interested to see such a wealth of craftsmanship from around the county.”

The exhibition, which runs daily 11am - 3pm, will open on 8th January 2013 until 2nd March. Admission is free.
