Here at Wild Park Derbyshire we hosted a Extreme Obstacle Event on Sunday March 25th.

Around 1000 enthusiastic adventurists poured through the gates of Wild Park Derbyshire in Brailsford to trample over the tranquillity of the Derbyshire countryside, all eager to take on the newest X-Runner addition the Wild Warrior! And judging by the smiles on faces, the cheers from the crowds and the unbelievable amount of mud caked clothing, this event screamed of success and fulfilled lots of adventure hungry warriors with thrills, spills and muddy good fun.

The weather was amazing and we are sure the sunshine helped absorb the shock of the 5 degree water splash at the bottom of the 50ft purpose built waterslide. Towering hay bales and tunnels of terror submerged in freezing muddy waters tested competitors mental and physical endurance to the max, but everyone’s a winner judging by the smiles on their faces as they crossed the finish gantry.

One runner in particular endured but enjoyed the day and filmed every inch of the course as she dragged her mud caked self through the Wild Warrior. Celebrity mum Katie Price managed to cajole some buddies including Leandro and her father into running the course with her while filming for her newest documentary which will be aired at the end of May on Sky Living.

Wild Park welcomes 100’s of visitors every single day to take part in the fastest growing leisure pursuit in Europe. A wide range of customers are attracted, including family days out, birthday celebrations, football teams, cricket teams, rugby teams, lawn tennis clubs, rowing clubs, hen and stag parties and companies large and small seeking to reward employees with a day of fun and team building. Wild Park’s excellent location is just a ten minute drive from Ashbourne and only 15 minutes from Wirksworth! It really is very easy access from all areas of the Midlands. This makes it really easy to keep coming back time andtime again, as most of their customers do.

The Wild Park Estate covers 160 acres of land, including eight different game sites in the woodland and adjoining fields. Wild Park sets the type of game for both paintballing and Laser Tag and the customers decide the tactics used by the opposing sides. A 90 minute quad biking session will take you across the estate through woodland and swamps on trails around the Park that include speed, banking and water sections.

You are provided with protective gear and there are excellent facilities consisting of kitting-out areas, laundry and drying room, male and female showers, toilets and changing rooms and storage areas. A recent addition to the estate is a 80-seat conference room for hire providing the complete corporate or  business air conditioned conference facilities where companies can carry out their serious business activities, then the delegates can relax and team build by enjoying paintballing, laser tag or quad biking. They get a lot of business from Derbyshire businesses and the likes of Derby County Football Team, Burton Albion and Derbyshire Cricket Teams are all regular customers.

The Else family say “We put great emphasis on safety precautions and careful management.
