Description: Treeline has a gallery, craft shop, and restaurant and is found in the heart of the Peak District National Park, in the picturesque market town of Bakewell, in Derbyshire.
We stock the best of contemporary British arts and crafts, including designer jewellery, blown glass, fused glass, ceramics and pottery, wood and metal crafts, textiles and limited-edition prints.
We stock contemporary jewellery, mainly of silver, but also, gold, titanium, copper, bronze & anodised aluminium. Some jewellery is set with semi-precious stones, such as amethyst & some is set with precious stones, such as diamonds. We also have a range of jewellery made of semi-precious beads & freshwater pearls that is made locally.
Upstairs we have contemporary fused glass panels, fused glass mirrors, stained glass mirrors and a large range of limited edition prints. In addition we display larger handmade ceramic and pottery pieces, glass vases and bowls. We also have a range of handmade ceramic lamps & parchment lamps.
We exhibit a range of contemporary furniture, handmade in our own workshops, which may be bought directly from the art gallery. We also offer a bespoke furniture design service, in which you may choose your own hardwood timber.
The craft shop downstairs adjoins the eatery and stocks designer jewellery and other handmade crafts. We also sell a selection of handmade cards, bags & scarves.
Craft shop & art gallery open: 10am (11am Sunday) - 5pm.
Treeline has its own licensed Eatery, serving homemade food, using fresh, local produce. One of the main attractions is the beautiful, secluded, vine-covered courtyard, evoking a 'Mediterranean' atmosphere. We have a large awning, covering part of the seated area, which can protect you in very sunny or rainy weather. For cold weather we have an outside infra red heater. This is an ideal area for sitting outside with your dog.
Our courtyard is by far the best place in Bakewell to relax outside, with grapes ripening overhead, free from the smell and noise of passing traffic.
Our hot food, which is served all day, includes lasagnes, pancakes, chillis, home-made soups and a large selection of toasted paninis. Vegetarian options are also available in all areas. We offer a variety of sandwich rolls, freshly baked Danish pastries and croissants, home-made cakes, desserts and a selection of salads. Our drinks include a range of coffees (espresso), a variety of teas, hot chocolate, fruit juices, smoothies, milk shakes, organic ginger beers, fine wines and beers. We are particularly famous for our large selection of soups, made from fresh vegetables and meat (although only two are offered on any one day, a vegetarian option and a meat option).
The proprietors, Vanessa Rushton and Chris Low, a contemporary designer of hardwood furniture, would be delighted to welcome you to the best art and craft gallery in the Peak District and Derbyshire.
