River Cottage makes a superb base for the attractions of the Peak District with Bakewell, Chatsworth, Haddon Hall and Monsal Head literally a few minutes away by car. For the more energetic, superb walks are available from our very doorstep and we offer clothing and boot drying facilities too!
  
With its original exposed beams, thick stone walls and a dining room that was originally the Georgian wood-panelled parlour, River Cottage offers incomparable charm, comfort and hospitality; hospitality that includes a wide range of prepared to order breakfast options, using locally sourced ingredients, enabling us to provide vegetarian as well as more traditional breakfast fare.

Cancellation Policy
In order to secure your booking we take a credit card number. If cancellation takes place (for all or part of your booking) within seven days of your arrival and we are not able to re-let the room, or rooms, in question, then the booking is charged in full. We advise taking out travel insurance to cover this eventuality.
