The barn dates from 1870 and is located just outside the picturesque village of Alstonefield, within the beautiful Peak District National Park and provides a peaceful country retreat enabling walking and cycling from the doorstep.
The property is tastefully furnished to provide every home comfort and the sitting room has an open log fire to toast your weary feet by after a long day exploring !
The accommodation is on one level only and access is via a short flight of steps leading into the hall area. The well equipped kitchen area is fresh and open and every effort has been made to include most of the items you would have at home. The dining table seats four.
The sitting room is decorated in a mix of earth tones, accented by warm blue hues. A TV, DVD player and CD/radio to equip you for any evening by the fire, the room enjoys fine views across the surrounding countryside from the window.
The accommodation consists of a long hallway off which are situated the loo, seperate bathroom, and the two bedrooms.
We offer a the twin bedroom which is decorated in a blue and cream theme and the double bedroom next door has restful blue tones with complimentary cream accessories.
To the rear of the property is a private and secluded garden with far reaching views of the hills. we provide garden furniture and a BBQ for those hotter days!
All bed linen and towels are provided and all heating/lighting costs are included in the price . A washing machine and tumble dryer are available in the small barn beneath the kitchen, as well as a freezer..
Smoking is NOT permitted in The Hay Barn in the interest of other guests and for safety reasons.
Bookings are from a Friday to a Friday and access to the property is after 2.00pm on your day of arrival. Please vacate by 10.00am on your day of departure to allow time to prepare for next guests. Thank you very much.
