Description: BASSETTWOOD is a friendly, family run farm in the picturesque village of Tissington in the Heart of the Derbyshire Dales and Peak District. Tissington is close to the market towns of Ashbourne, Bakewell, the popular village of Alstonefield and Dovedale and the Manifold Valley.
Tissington is famed for its Hall, the home of the Fitzherbert family and is the regular backdrop for many period dramas and films and the village hosts their spectacular well dressings annually in May.
Brian and Sarah Allen and their family welcome you to BASSETTWOOD and guests are encouraged to collect eggs, pet the pygmy goats, lambs and piglets or just to enjoy the many walks or the 20 mile long Tissington Trail cycle track.
The farmhouse bed and breakfast has two delightful double rooms with ensuite facilities and there is additional accommodation in the fabulous shepherd's hut found in the pretty orchard.
The hearty farmhouse breakfasts are sourced using mainly local products, in particular meat from Tissington’s own butchers, and jams produced on the Estate.
