Stanton in Peak Bed and Breakfast

    We have been running for 4 years now and thoroughly enjoy having both returning and new guests to come and share our home. We arguably have the best views in the Peak District , and would very much like to welcome you to enjoy the relaxing , friendly and luxurious surroundings. We endeavour to satisfy all of your expectations and for you to leave ‘wanting to return’

    We offer a warm welcome with refreshments upon arrival, consisting of tea or coffee and home made cakes before 5pm, cocktails and wine after 5pm!!!  

    Relax and enjoy the view of ever changing weather patterns and a variety of visiting wildlife, before choosing from award winning restaurants,  local pub grub, or simply a pint in the village local .     Fresh Fruit / Cereals / Yoghurts /  Porridge / Full English Breakfast

    Eggs Benedict  /  Smoked Salmon and Scrambled Eggs / Omelette   Vegetarian / Toast and Croissants

    We also offer a packed lunch option:  sandwich / crisps / snack bar / fruit

    Feeling fully refreshed and replenished and ready to start your day of exploring the local area - whether it be hiking some of the stunning

    Peak District walks, including the Limestone Way and the Inn Way

    (which passes through the village), cycling the Monsal Trail,

    visiting local market towns for a bit of shopping therapy, having a cultural experience visiting one of the many historic houses in the area

    Chatsworth / Haddon / Hardwick, or just relaxing and enjoying the beautiful Peak District views - you are sure to have a memorable time!

    BEDROOM 1 - Chatsworth

    Large bedroom with Super King Bed (that can be made into a twin) / En-suite shower facilities /

    Access to own private outside patio area /  TV and Drink facilities

    (Also large enough to have a travel cot or blow up mattress - if needed for a family room)

    Tariff:     £90 per night for double / £60 per night for single  / Weekend - minimum 2 night stay where possible

    Bookings of 3 nights and more receive a £5 discount per night. One night stay supplement  £10  per  night.

    BEDROOM 2 - Haddon  

    Large bedroom with Super King Bed (that can be made into a twin)  

    Has  a large private bathroom directly across the hallway (with bath and shower) .

    (Private use for a couple or shared if part of a  family or group booking also using Room 3.)

    Access to outside patio area, overlooking the valley / TV and Drink facilities.

    Tariff:     £80 per night for double / £50 per night for single / Weekend - minimum 2 night stay where possible

    Bookings of 3 nights and more receive a £5 discount per night. One night stay supplement  £10  per  night.

    BEDROOM 3 - Hardwick

    King Size Bed - with access to outside patio area, overlooking the valley

    This room shares the large bathroom  across hallway (with bath and shower), used by Bedroom 2

    - and is ideal for use by friends who wish to have a room each rather than twin with shared facilities

    or a family with children  any age - as the rooms are adjacent

    Access to drinks facilities, but no TV in the room

    Tariff:     £70 per night for double / £40 per night for single / Weekend - minimum 2 night stay where possible

    Bookings of 3 nights and more receive a £5 discount per night. One night stay supplement  £10  per  night. 

     

    Things to Do


    Nine Ladies Stone Circle

    The B&B is a stones throw away from beautiful Stanton Moor, home to this ancient stone circle. Put your boots on and take a short stroll across the fields, to see this archeologically important site.

    Arbor Low Stone Circle

    An English Heritage site situated a few miles away. You can walk there if you are a keen hiker, but otherwise a short drive takes you to this historic site. Explore and enjoy.

    Chatsworth House

    One of the most elegant historic houses in the country, the Chatsworth Estate offers a full day out - including tours of the house / gardens / children’s farm yard / farm shop / numerous restaurants. See their website to see what events they hold throughout the year and time your visit to coincide with one of these. We have parking passes for anyone wanting to visit the house.

    Haddon Hall

    Seen across the valley from the B&B windows - this stunning Medieval Hall is fascinating to look around.

    You can feel the age and ghostliness of this place as you explore in a half a day.

    You can easily walk there from the B&B and back again - to make a full day out.  

    Hardwick Hall

    One of Britain's greatest and most complete Elizabethan houses - situated at Doe Lea, Chesterfield.

    Bess of Hardwick first created Hardwick Hall in the late 1500’s.

    Monsal Dale

    One of Derbyshire’s beautiful limestone valleys - this is well worth a visit - taking time to walk and enjoy the scenery and wildlife, stopping for lunch at a near by pub.

    The Monsal Trail -  offering cycling along the old railway track, travelling through recently opened up tunnels. Bikes can be hired at various places

    Market Towns , Shopping and More

    Ashbourne / Bakewell / Buxton / Chesterfield / Wirksworth - all local market towns - holding regular market days.

    Masson Mills / Rowsley Peak Village / Caldwells Mill / Glen McAurther  - Outlet shopping

    Hartington  (Cheese) / Castleton (Blue John Mines)  / Eyam (Black Plague town) - local villages - offering activities and sites of interest.

    Crich - Tram Museum

    Matlock Bath - Gullivers Kingdom

    Carsington Reservoir - offering various water activites / fishing.

    Local Public Golf Courses: Bakewell / Stanedge / Grassmore - Ian willing to join you!

    Fishing: River Wye (through Peakcock Hotel) and Press Manor (reservoir)
