This truly is a wonderful place to come and have a holiday in the Peak District. This bed and breakfast is beautifully and tastefully decorated throughout. It is a very spacious property with the building itself dating back to 1865 – it is simply majestic and a real treat for anyone wishing to stay here.

 

LOCATION
The Old Vicarage Curbar, located in the heart of the Peak District National Park, offers gracious accommodation close to Chatsworth and Bakewell. The Old Vicarage is the ideal location to relax and enjoy a peaceful break. Curbar Edge is just up the hill, with parking available, world famous for its magnificent views and easy walking.

Chatsworth 3.5 miles
Bakewell 5.7 miles

 

FACILITIES AVAILABLE
Guests are welcome to make use of the mature gardens and secluded private areas. There is secure, private off-road parking and bike storage.

 

They currently offer three generous en suite rooms that have all been individually styled and finished to extremely high standards. All their rooms include flat-screen televisions, tea and coffee-making facilities, relaxed seating, ample space and high quality en suite bath or shower rooms. They also have a very comfortable sitting lounge, which offers Sky television and WiFi access.

 

All their rooms offer complete privacy with views out over their lovely garden and open countryside. They have been finished to very high standards and offer ample room in which to relax and unwind. Parts of the extensive gardens are available for the exclusive use of our guests.

 

There are three rooms available named after the main rivers than run through this beautiful region:

Derwent : This holiday suite offers a double bedroom, separate lounge, bathroom and kitchen, with private access.

Dove : The largest room in the main house offers an en suite bath and shower room, with panoramic views out over the garden and surrounding countryside.

Wye : Also in the main house, with views over surrounding countryside, Wye is a large double room with en suite shower room. 

 

FOOD
Full English and Continental breakfasts are served either in their large conservatory, which overlooks well-maintained gardens, or in our more formal dining room.

 
For lunches and evening meals there is a wide range of eateries, from Michelin-starred restaurants to rustic traditional inns, several within easy walking distance - the closest pub being 100 yards down the lane.

The DERWENT SUITE
The property is entered into the kitchen, which is well equipped with all the essentials you will require for your stay. The cobbled courtyard takes you up some external stone steps to the main entrance of the accommodation, which is principally all on one level.

 
Off the landing are all the main rooms, all of a good size. The main lounge dining area has a beamed ceiling, gritsone fireplace, with inset gas effect coal burning fire, and views across the garden and surrounding countryside.


The main bedroom has a double bed, which has been well presented with carefully co-ordinated fabrics and decoration.

 

The bathroom has a bath with shower over, hand basin and toilet

 

There is a utility area down the rear flight of stairs and a garden sitting out area for use by guests.
