A friendly, family run B&B in the historic town of Wirksworth with panoramic views over the beautiful Ecclesbourne valley.

The house is in a quiet location in the old part of Wirksworth amongst picturesque miner's cottages but within 2 minutes walk of the town centre and shops.

There are fantastic views over the valley and the intriguing roof scape of old Wirksworth.
Wirksworth is a delightful, unspoilt old town rich in history with many old features preserved. It dates back to pre Roman times and was at one time a well established lead mining town.

The old part of the town has elegant Victorian houses, tightly packed miner's cottages amongst delightful unspoilt narrow winding streets and alleyways and wonderful views.

The house dates back to around the 1830s and has many traditional features.

There is a homely atmosphere throughout with things to make your stay a bit special - cotton sheets, home-made marmalade and other produce, open fire in one of the rooms. Each room has tea/coffee making facilities.Toaster, alarm clock and a hair-dryer are available on request.

Breakfast is flexible to suit your needs. It is served in the farmhouse kitchen which has lovely views over the hills. On summer days you may prefer to sit on the patio and enjoy the views. If you prefer privacy in the morning, the rooms have facilities to make your own continental breakfast whenever it suits you. Cooked breakfast can be served at any of these locations.

Single night stay and single person occupancy welcome.

Catering: Homemade traditional, vegetarian, vegan. Special diets on request.
Smoking: no smoking
Children: welcome.
Pets: welcome at no extra cost, on arrangement. Sorry no cats. The enclosed courtyard garden, next to the downstairs bedroom, is ideal for dogs.
Disabled: welcome. Partial disabled access. Please ring to check if suitable.
Parking: for two cars in the drive. Additional enclosed parking area close to the house.
Outside: Flowery, enclosed, courtyard garden for your own use. Large, sunny patio with panoramic views.
Open: all year.
Wi-Fi: Free Wi-Fi internet access available for laptop users
Other facilities: Reiki healing available from qualified practitioner. Transport to and from the house to the nearest station and to other venues for a reasonable charge. Child, adult and pet minding may be available by arrangement. OS maps of the area available to borrow.
