This beautiful detached stone house offers spacious accommodation and has been renovated to a very high standard with excellent modern facilities whilst still retaining its charm and character that dates back to the early 1800’s.
The cottage has three bedrooms all with oak furniture, one with ensuite, lounge with exposed beams, leather sofas and gas stove, games room, dining room with large oak and leather dining suite, garden room, home cinema system, SKY Freesat HD TV & Multi room, wireless Internet access, I-Pod docking station, superbly equipped kitchen, luxurious bathroom with double shower, double ended bath, double sinks on oak & granite washstand and underfloor heating.
It affords beautiful south facing gardens with a decking area and BBQ where guests can relax whilst enjoying the lovely views over the gardens and the surrounding the countryside.
A short stroll takes you into the heart of the village which was formerly an ancient lead-mining village dating back as far as the doomsday book. Winster has two lovely pubs, a village shop and a post office.
The village has a busy social calendar of events and is an attractive village with many medieval buildings reflecting the hey-day of its mining legacy. Excellent walking is right on the doorstep.
Whether you are looking for a relaxing holiday or a base from which to explore the Peak District National Park, Ivy Cottage is a perfect retreat.
