Nestling at the end of a quiet lane in the village of Chelmorton, the cottage is in it’s own secure grounds with lawned garden areas and an enclosed paddock. It enjoys superb views of the surrounding landscape and especially of Chelmorton Low. Have cosy nights in by the fire, or afternoons and evenings sat on the large patio, admiring the views and the sunset with a glass of wine!

Jolly Field Farm makes an ideal base for walking, climbing and biking and is just a short drive from historic towns Buxton and Bakewell. It is especially well suited to larger parties with its luxury family kitchen, large games room with bar and pool table, plus plenty of space for the kids to play in the expansive garden with swing and paddock. Comfortable accommodation with exposed beams, wooden floors and wood burning stove.

The Location 
Situated in the High Peak - the village of Chelmorton at 1200ft above sea level - is not surprisingly one of the highest villages in Derbyshire, just lies 4 miles south-east of Buxton and is ideally located to explore the stunning surrounding countryside. It is overlooked by Chelmorton Low – from which Illly Willy Water runs down through the village.

The village has a great pub just a few minutes walk from the cottage, which serves traditional ales & foods. There’s also a small playground, phone box and bottle bank.

Accommodation

Kitchen
The huge family kitchen is well equipped with fridge, freezer, dishwasher, Aga-style range cooker, electric oven & hob & microwave. The wooden floors and hand made units add to the character of the room. There is seating for 10 around the extendable farmhouse table.

Games room
The cellar of the property has been converted into a large games room with pool table, darts board and bar. A great space for kids of all ages to play…

Lounge
Relax in comfort! The lounge has two large three seater settees, leather armchair, tv with dvd, a welcoming log-burning stove inset in an inglenook fireplace. There also is a selection of books, dvd's and games for your enjoyment.

Master Bedroom
This is a very large room which has en-suite shower room with large shower cubicle, hand basin & toilet. There is a king-size bed, wooden floors and a beautiful view of Chelmorton Low.

Also on this floor are the bathroom with bath, toilet & hand basin and two other double bedrooms with sloping ceilings. Both have plenty of storage space.

A small staircase leads up to the Attic Bedroom which has two twin beds – children will love this sloping ceilings in this cosy room.

Annex Bedroom
Cross the patio just three steps into this extremely spacious room with vaulted beamed ceiling and en-suite shower room. The room has a king size bed and masses of storage. There is also a futon bed should it be required.

The Garden
The gardens are large, spacious and secure with beautiful views of the village and surrounding countryside. Plenty of room for children to run around safely as the gates to the road can be closed. The patio area at the rear of the property is an ideal spot to soak up the sun and enjoy a glass of wine – there is also a barbeque and fire pit.
