Weddings/Events
We are not your typical Wedding or event venue but pride ourselves on offering you a venue with a difference. Rural, though easily accessible, surrounded by stunning scenery and within walking distance of Dovedale and the Manifold Valleys, a perfect setting for any event. Though we do not have a wedding licence we can provide local details of where you can hold your ceremony or you can stay at the farm for a blessing or natural wedding. It is important for us that our venue is, “right for you” and we welcome a sight visit before booking. The ambience of the property speaks for itself.
As well as venturing into wedding parties we also offer exclusivity in a stunning away from it all location, relaxed, comfortable and informal 4 star accommodation set in 20 acres in which to pursue your team building, off-site group meeting, corporate event, birthday or anniversary party or reception. Privacy is assured.
The ambience of the farm has proven to help unwind and relax, which makes one forget the outside world and concentrate on the tasks at hand. A perfect environment to get the best from your delegates and your business.
Lower Damgate Farm Cottage can sleep up to 21 guests in single beds or 29 guests if couples are sharing. Bathrooms and shower rooms are shared. We offer outside catering facilities or have our own on site kitchens, unique stone built BBQ’s and hog roast facilities. We can source other accommodation locally if required. Rooms are large enough to seat all 29 or break away groups in separate areas.
Exclusivity reserves the right to use all the facilities, including our massive hanger barn (when not in use by the animals!) and the 20 acres of land surrounding the farm.
Hire is on a DIY basis though we can either help you to organise your event and provide details of local suppliers from marquees to caterers, adrenaline courses to yoga workshops whatever you require we can source, we even have hot air balloons taking off at the farm. Alternatively we can lead you off on a treasure hunt, guided walk or steer you in the right direction for you to produce your own event of the year. Our philosophy is that nothing is a problem and we ensure it is kept that way.
We have had many successful events at the farm and though we are still a farm with animals ranging from Alpacas, Shetland ponies, sheep, ducks, chickens and pet turkeys! (I just couldn’t eat them!) ......our customers have always enjoyed the events that they have participated in. We have helped to make a difference and put a smile on the faces of many a bride and groom, managers, staff and bosses as well as a few famous people. We are not a hotel but a little farm in the middle of nowhere, what we offer is different but it works, as many of our returning customers tell us.
