Description:

This is a brand new conversion of an historic barn into two luxury holiday cottages, each sleeping up to four people. They are situated on an equine farm, in open countryside high on a ridge above Longnor village with breathtaking views over the Manifold and Dove Valleys.

Both cottages have oil fired central heating, underfloor downstairs and designer radiators in the bedrooms. Downstairs there are large lounge/diners with leather sofas, TV/DVD Freeview, CD players, etc, utility/drying rooms with washer/dryers, ideal for all that wet walking gear, and kitchens with stunning granite worktops and the latest equipment, electric cooker, touch control ceramic hobs, fridge/freezers, microwave/grills etc. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, the master bedrooms have ensuite fully tiled bathrooms with walk-in showers. There are also family bathrooms with bath and showers, all bathrooms have undertile heating for that extra feeling of luxury when you step out of the shower.Outside there is a stone flagged and pebbled patio with benches and tables, and ample off road parking.

The cottages are surrounded by fields and moorland which are protected as a site of special scientific interest as a breeding ground for rare wild birds. The cottages Curlew and Snipe are named after two of our regular summer visitors but for the Bill Oddie's amongst you there are also Lapwings, Buzzards, Owls and Skylarks going about their daily business.

There are stables and paddocks available if you want to bring your horse with you and ride the Pennine bridleway or visit Beaver Hall Equestrian centre for the regular dressage and showjumping competitions. Both are a short drive away and we have plenty of room to park your horsebox or trailer. Well behaved dogs welcome by arrangement.

Linen, duvets and towels are provided, there is no extra charge for electricity and there is a welcome pack with tea coffee, milk and a bottle of wine.

Snipe Cottage (sleeps 4, 2 bedrooms)
All facilities as above, the large oak beamed lounge has the old barn entrance at one end, this is now a large picture window with a seat giving magnificent views down the valley. Upstairs the master bedroom has a king sized metal framed bed, it also has a superb view from a gable window, the second bedroom has two single metal framed beds.

Curlew cottage (sleeps 4 , 2 bedrooms)
Facilities as above, the large lounge has a fireplace with woodburner effect electric fire, upstairs the spacious master bedroom has a magnificent 4 poster bed but also has an alcove that is ideal for a cot if required.
