Description:

3 Bedrooms .  Sleeps 6/7 .

This Grade II listed cottage dates back around 300 years and is located within the Peak District National Park. It forms part of the early centre of the market town of Bakewell, a community with a wide range of facilities. Bakewell is an ideal starting point for many of the Peak District’s key attractions (Chatsworth House, cycling trails, walking routes).

The cottage has been entirely renovated in recent years,  providing deceptively spacious accommodation throughout with good sized rooms in a relaxed contemporary style.  The cottage can be accessed from one of two footpaths from the split level front garden.

The main access takes you into the dining hall with an open coal fire and tiled floor which is  open plan through to the well equipped kitchen with all the essential equipment you will require for your stay.  To your right off the hall is a good sized lounge also with further open coal fire and garden views to the front.  Off the ground floor hall is a separate utility room and ground floor cloakroom with toilet and hand basin.

The stairs lead to a good sized landing area off which are two of the three bedrooms both of a good size one with double beds and the other a beautiful twin room  and each with original decorative fire grates adding to the rooms’ character .  Also on this floor is the general bathroom, with bath and shower over, toilet and hand basin. An attic room contains a third bedroom with one single bed. From the landing area a door leads through to a contemporary extension passing a desk /study area with views of the back garden and door access onto the secure rear garden. The corridor continues past a wet room with toilet and hand basin into the third double bedroom, with sloping ceiling, feature dry stone wall with inset gas fire and full height sliding glazed doors covering the full width of the room and  commands views of Bakewell.

The rear secure garden can be accessed from the extension and from the rear of the house up garden steps and includes a small garden pond.
