Description:

The Old Stables – Fern Farm Cottages.
At Fern Farm they have two luxury holiday cottages offering accommodation in a rural situation within easy walking distance of the centre of Buxton

It is very rare to get these types of accommodation, with such a lot of space and countryside, so close to this famous town of Buxton. The cottages have been created by the conversion of some former farm outbuildings, and very lovingly restored. These late Victorian brick buildings have been tastefully converted to a high standard, with full gas central heating, new electrical systems, modern kitchens and bathrooms and polished wooden floors downstairs.

LOCATION.
Both cottages lie within Fern Farm, with the riding stables behind. The farm has 95 acres of land which stretches almost to the summit of nearby Grin Low, a beauty spot which overlooks Buxton, beneath which is the famous Poole’s Cavern. The centre of Buxton is approximately one mile distant, and is a pleasant walk, initially across fields or via Fern Road.

There are footpaths from the door - up to Solomon's Temple on Grin Low, into Buxton itself, and also leading out in the opposite direction to open country. On London Road, approximately 500m from Fern Farm there is an excellent pub which offers snacks and meals, and mini Tesco shop.

COTTAGE FACILITIES
Cottage One sleeps four people in one double bedroom and one twin bedroom.

It has large, spacious and well furnished lounge, with comfortable settee and armchairs, a modern TV and DVD system and an electric wood-effect fire.

Leading off this is a compact and well-equipped kitchen, with modern units, an electric oven and hob, fridge and microwave.

Opposite this is a dining area with a pine table and four pine dining chairs.

Upstairs is one double bedroom, with a pine double bed and pine dressing table and other furnishings.

The second bedroom has two single beds. Both bedrooms are quite spacious.

The modern bathroom has a bath, washbasin and WC, with an electric shower unit over the bath.

Cottage Two is similar to Cottage One, but slightly smaller, and sleeps 4 people in one double bedroom and another bedroom with full-size bunk beds.
