Location
The Stable is quietly situated in the grounds of the owners property which is accessed down a private drive off a single track country lane. Despite its quiet and somewhat isolated location, The Stable is nonetheless conveniently situated, with many of Derbyshire's top attractions such as Chatsworth, Bakewell and Haddon Hall being just a few minutes drive away. There are plenty of good pubs and eating places in the area, the nearest being within a walking distance of 1.5 miles.

Walking, Cycling and Wildlife
From The Stable there are several pleasant walks, short, long and in between and the nearby "b" roads crossing the moors are ideal for cycling.
The surrounding moorland attracts a wide variety of birdlife to the Stable and from the windows you can see (to name but a few) Woodpeckers, Tree Creepers and the odd Nuthatch, Reed Bunting, Pheasant and Brambling and, during the summer months Swifts, Swallows and House Martins.
