The farm and its grounds stands on a spur overlooking the Manifold Valley. This is one of the most famous rivers of the Peak District and carves a spectacular deep valley with numerous rocky crags, a sight which is matched locally only by Dovedale - just a few miles away.
The farm is a working beef cattle farm and has a long history - next door to the farmhouse stands the ruins of Throwley Hall a 16th century manor house. The farm specialises in pedigree Charolais cattle, which graze in the fields surrounding the farm and on the hillside overlooking the Manifold Valley.

 Throwley Cottage – 4 stars. Accommodates up to 7 people. It is an attractive self-catering property situated near to the beautiful Manifold Valley and Dovedale.
Cottage facilities include:

 Throwley Moor Farm – 4 stars. Accommodates 12 people. It is a large, attractive farmhouse situated about 1 mile from Throwley Hall Farm.

• Fitted carpets (except in the kitchen)
• Central heating
• Lounge / Games room
• Sitting Room with colour TV
• Large Dining Kitchen with electric cooker, microwave oven, fridge, freezer and dishwasher
• Shower and toilet downstairs
• Large bathroom and toilet upstairs and also a separate Shower room and WC
The bedroom accommodation comprises:
• One double bedroom with en-suite facilities
• One bedroom with a double bed and a single bed

 Latham Hall – 4 stars. Accommodates up to 12 people. It is a large, attractive former farmhouse situated near the village of Calton, not far from the A52 Leek - Ashbourne Road.

• Sitting room with colour TV and video
• Living Room with colour TV
• Dining Kitchen with electric cooker, microwave oven, fridge, freezer and dishwasher

 River Lodge – 4 stars. Accommodates 5 people. It is a quaint and historic cottage situated about 1 mile from Throwley Hall Farm, alongside the River Manifold. The cottage was built in 1840 and has been tastefully restored, with oak used for much of the new woodwork and retaining features such as stone mullioned windows and beamed ceilings.
The downstairs facilities include:
• A fully fitted luxury kitchen with an electric cooker, microwave oven, fridge (freezer in utility room), dishwasher, washing machine plus tumble drier.
