Peak District Cottages - White Edge - Longshaw

White Edge Lodge is located high up on the edge of the Eastern Moors in the Peak District National Park. The lodge is surrounded by wide expanses of open heather moorland, giving stunning views in all directions. The lodge sleeps five and has many interesting and original interior features including a kitchen in the former game cellar and a beautifully designed bathroom with a fine moorland view from the bathtub. The sitting room has a wood burning stove and there is an enclosed garden in keeping with the natural moorland. The lodge provides an ideal base for a range of activities in the local area including bird watching, climbing, cycling and walking. It is within easy access of the Longshaw Estate and Padley Gorge Woodland, as well as the local villages of Grindleford and Hathersage.

Cellar: kitchen with dining area.
Ground Floor: entrance/utility area, shower room, sitting room with wood-burning stove.
First Floor: one bedroom (1 double with 5' bed) and bathroom with roll-top bath. Second Floor: one bedroom (triple with three single beds) - lots of beams and fantastic views over moorland.

Visitor Notes:
generator central heating. The garden is enclosed and in keeping with the natural moorland. There is parking available for two cars. Please note, the water at this cottage is spring fed.
