Beginners casting tuition

CASTING FOR IMPROVERS (steeple, curved, slack line etc)
Approximately 1 hour  £30/£35 shared lesson

CASTING CLINIC/TRAINEE COACH EVALUATION  - by arrangement

ADVANCED CASTING (double haul, snake, single handed Spey, etc)
Whilst not suitable for the novice, these techniques can give complete control of the line in adverse conditions.
£30/£45 shared lesson or back to back lesson

TUITION ON STILL WATER
Allow about three hours fishing time.  These lessons are practical fishing tuition with all tackle supplied.  A fishing licence is needed for all our lessons on water even for ‘casting practice’, but we can arrange a special one-day only licence for you if required.
• Fishing at Barlow and Press Manor (nr Chesterfield) £50/£70 shared lesson
• Fishing at Yeaveley (nr Ashbourne)   £60/£70 shared lesson
• Day tickets are an additional cost on some venues

TUITION ON RIVERS
RIVER CASTING AND ROD HANDLING £30
Essential techniques to get the best from your river fishing.  Takes around an hour and we practice our new skills on a quiet corner of a well-known river.  Tackle supplied if required.  These sessions are not suitable for the complete novice.

River Fishing
We are offering limited number of opportunities to fish the River Wye this season, in the company of an experienced professional guide.

The day consists of morning’s tuition, with watercraft, casting and help in choosing a fly.  Clients will fish on in the afternoon with tackle supplied as necessary including rod, reel and accessories.

The guide may will join you in the evening (depending on commitments) and fish on with you till the end of the day.

The client must have; a valid rod licence and some fly-fishing knowledge. Drab clothing and footwear not supplied.

These days are not intended for the complete novice.
