From 10 am till 12 noon...... • They serve fair-trade coffee and teas • Indulgent cakes • Breakfasts as big or small as you like • Warm crumpets and jam,
From 12 noon till 3 pm.... They switch to their lunchtime menu offering...... • Cold, hot or posh sandwiches • Soup or pate. • Their very popular specials board. • Favourites might be; Salmon fishcakes salad and lemon mayonnaise, Steak in Guinness pie, Gammon steak with free-range eggs, Scarborough Cod in beer batter are all popular regulars. • Homemade puddings may include • Traditional Treacle Tart • Bakewell Tart • Apple and Damson Crumble • Their signature dish....Lemon Meringue Pie.
Finally, from 3 pm till 4 pm.... Treat yourself to afternoon tea with... • Homemade scones, jam and clotted cream of one of their delicious homemade cakes.

The Old Smithy BISTRO On Saturday evening the cafe transforms into a warm, welcoming Bistro where on winter evenings the open fire crackles in the grate so why not treat yourself and join them for some fine dining. The Bistro offers a wholly different menu to the cafe with crisp, white linen, sparkling glasses and candlelight becomes a seriously grown-up Restaurant. Booking advisable with reservations being taken between 7 and 9pm.
