The Hartington Cheese and Wine Company - online cheese suppliers - are based at The Old Cheese Shop in Hartington. This quaint stone building has been open as a shop for almost 30 years (under various ownership) and has established a well deserved reputation for selling quality, local and national cheeses.

Set in the heart of the village of Hartington, overlooking the duck pond, there couldn't be a more picturesque setting for a small retail business! The Hartington Cheese & Wine Company (the current owners) bought the cheeseshop premises in October 2009 and are slowly introducing even more local Derbyshire and Peak District cheeses, beers brewed from local Derbyshire and Peak District breweries and English wines. Buy cheese online through our online shop or feel free to visit us in person to buy your cheeses, wines and beers - you will be sure of a warm welcome in the Hartington Cheese Shop.

Our product lines include homemade chutneys, relishes, cheese biscuits etc. and over the next few months we will start introducing cheese and wine associated gifts so please be sure to keep coming back to visit. We can even make your special day even more special with a Wedding Cake made of cheese.

The owners first set up the business because of their passion for good, honest, traditionally produced food and are keen to preserve the "Cheese" reputation and history that has been synonymous with Hartington over the years.
