Description: Within walking distance of the market town of Ashbourne, yet surrounded by open green fields, Callow Top is an award winning family holiday park.
Our awards include being a Practical Caravan Top 100 site for the last 3 years, a Practical Motorhome Top 50 site 2010 and East Midlands Holiday Park of the Year 2009. You can be assured of excellent facilities and service during your short break or annual family holiday.
As well as caravan, tent, trailer tent and motorhome pitches we also have two self catering holiday cottages to hire. Ashbourne Cottage sleeps up to 7 people and Dovedale Cottage sleeps up to 5. Short breaks are available in our cottages except during July & August when the minimum stay is 1 week.
Our touring & site is open from the week before Easter until the first weekend in November. The holiday cottages are available all year.

Things To Do Callow Top is ideally located for exploring the Derbyshire & Staffordshire Peak District. There’s so much to do, and lots of places to explore, including
• Alton Towers – just 20 minutes drive • Gulliver’s Kingdom theme park for younger children – 25 mins drive • Heights of Abraham – 25 mins drive • Chatsworth House, gardens and Farmyard – 30 mins drive • Trentham Gardens & Monkey Forest • Caverns at Castleton – 45 minutes drive • Picturesque towns of Bakewell, Buxton and Matlock • Dovedale famous for the stepping stones across the River Dove.
Outdoor Activities We have direct access to the Tissington Trail walking and cycling route from the site. Bikes including adults, childrens, buggies and tag alongs, can be hired from reception. There are lots of footpaths leading from the site and in the local area. Other cycle trails include the Manifold Trail and Carsington Reservoir. The Peak District is a renowned area for climbing. Water sports, golf and pony trekking are available nearby.
When should you visit? During peak season we’re a very busy family park with lots of children staying and entertainment up to 4 times a week.
Low season is the perfect time to visit for couples, and families with pre-school age children, who prefer a quieter break.
Winter Storage For caravans or motorhomes winter storage is available during our closed season from the beginning of November until the weekend before Easter. Please give us a call for further details.
