Buckingham's Award Winning Hotel is the gateway to the Peak District National Park and Chatsworth House plus many more attractions. Originally a pair of Victorian semi-detached houses that have been sympathetically converted into this attractive, comfortable and relaxed hotel in Newbold, a residential area of Chesterfield. Nick and Tina Buckingham are well known for their warm and friendly hotel, which specialises in superlative food. The hotel's modern facilities are combined with an attention to detail and quality of service.
Accommodation
Our bedrooms are a home from home which gives you those little personal touches that you would expect. All ten bedrooms are well appointed and cater for guests travelling either on business or pleasure.
 
We have focused on increasing the space and quality of our bedrooms. The Restaurant With One Table
This restaurant is unique as it has no menus; it means we can prepare your meal to your personal requirements with the emphasis on quality and freshness. All we need to know is your dislikes, allergies or dietary requirements, be it low fat, wheat intolerance, vegetarian, diabetic or you just don’t like mushrooms. There is a choice of four menu levels…. Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. It is important to note that the level of menu does not reflect the quality of cooking and merely the variation of the ingredients and occasionally the degree of technical expertise required in preparation. I will create a meal that will be unique to you and your guests. The best meals are the ones I create on the night, making the most of the market that day
The Restaurant With One Table seats up to ten guests and can be booked in two ways: An exclusive party for you and your guests or an open table to dine with fellow guests and make new friends. The time is flexible; however I would suggest you arrive at 8.00pm to enjoy drinks and Buckingham's Mini Dishes in the lounge and for dinner to commence at 8.30pm. The prices for an open table are Bronze £37.50, Silver £47.50 Gold £62.50 and Platinum £120.00

The Clowns Conservatory Restaurant offers a new unique dimension in food! We have no opening or closing times and no menus. We offer all our guests truly superlative food. All we need to know is your dislikes, allergies or dietary requirements, be it low fat, wheat intolerance, vegetarian, diabetic or you just don’t like mushrooms and we will be able to produce a surprise meal of quality and freshness for you. You may choose a one course, two course or three course meal. The prices for are One Course £18.50, Two Course £25.00 and Three Course £30.00
