Originally part of the Vernon estate, the Boars Head is reputed to have been lost by one of Lord Vernon's ancestors in a card game.

Whether you are just passing and call in for a bar snack or Carvery, dining in our A La Carte restaurant or staying in our luxurious hotel rooms, our team of helpful and courteous staff will make every effort to ensure your visit is as relaxing and enjoyable as possible.

The Hotels' A La Carte Restaurant, 'The Royal Boar' makes an elegant setting for any occasion.

Whether for an intimate meal for two, a family celebration, or a wedding reception for 100 people, our restaurant makes it a memorable occasion.

A less formal setting may be found in our Hunter's Table Carvery and Bistro, which serves a selection of roasts.

Our olde world bar offers an extensive bar snack menu, with a wide variety of daily changing Chef's Specials.

All of our dishes are home cooked and freshly prepared, and we are open every lunchtime and evening.

The Hotel has twenty two tastefully decorated and well equipped bedrooms. Each bedroom has en-suite facilities and is luxuriously furnished and equipped with a trouser press, an iron and ironing board, a hair dryer, colour television with teletext and sky channels, and a direct dial telephone.

Dogs are welcome at The Boars Head Hotel, providing they are well behaved. Dogs are not allowed in the Restaurant or public areas. We realise that you will know what is best for your dogs diet and therefore we do not provide food.
