Maazi literally translates as "History" and is a vision to create a fusion of 18th Century Mogul Indian and contemporary styles.

It is set in the Old Ritz Cinema in Matlock, with fantastic views overlooking the Hall Leys Park and the river Derwent.

     

The inspiration behind Maazi is thirty three year old Irfan Shabir who, after working for 5 years as a software engineer all over the world, decided to put the monotony of programming behind him and embark on the new adventure of running a successful Indian Restaurant.

His success has come about due to having spent many years in the industry as a student, and with his family having been in the trade he has developed an enormous passion for high standards of food and service.

Sunday - Thursday 5pm - 11pm
Friday - Saturday 5pm - midnight
