Description: The Fox & Goose Inn was founded as a Monk’s meeting place in the 15th Century. Ideally located on the edge of the Peak District between Chesterfield and Sheffield on the Old Road between the town of the Crooked Spire and Chatsworth House we boast spectacular views of both Chesterfield and Linacre Valley towards Sheffield and beyond.
The locally owned venue has been tastefully restored and traditionally renovated with the addition of a new Orangery and Terrace to create a Country Dining Pub, Wedding and Function Suite and Ramblers and Cyclists Watering Hole.
Homemade, locally sourced, fresh food is our passion. Whether a sumptuous meal from our Pub Classics or a la Carte Menus in our Orangery or Private Dining Room, a Wedding Breakfast, Celebratory Function or one of our Famous Hog Roasts our Chefs will delight you.
As a Freehouse we stock a well kept selection of locally brewed Derbyshire Guest Ales enhanced by a cracking merchant-only wine list.
Our Function Suite is not only for Private Hire for Civil Weddings, Wedding Receptions and Functions, we also host a number of entertainment nights and events from our very popular Comedy Store to Sporting Dinner and Tribute Acts.
As an extra service we are happy to provide Outdoor Catering services and lay on a Shuttle Service for special occasions and group bookings.
Weddings
For Civil Ceremonies, Wedding Breakfasts or Marquee Weddings we are able to offer this picturesque setting on the edge of the Peak National Park.
The wedding packs on the website have been designed to help you visualise and give you an idea of what we can offer with everything tailor made to suit your needs.
The menus provided are a sample of what we can offer, our Executive Chef will meet with you personally to discuss your needs and make sure your menu is tailored to your taste.
All our Wedding Parties have access to the extensive grounds and Orangery Terrace for drinks receptions and picturesque photographs.
Civil Ceremonies
Select from either our main Function Suite (capacity 100) packed with stone and timber character, or our Orangery (capacity 50) for incredible views of the surrounding countryside.
Wedding Breakfasts
Again we can offer the choice of our Function Suite (capacity 100) or our Dining Orangery (capacity 40) for your meal and speeches. The services of our resident Master of Ceremonies is included in our room hire.
Evening Receptions
Our Function Suite is licensed until 2am and can accommodate up to 200 guests. Choose from Hot or Cold Buffets, BBQ's, our Famous Hogroasts or even Fish and Homemade Chips to ensure your guests have an evening to remember. If you are looking for something different regarding entertainment we have extensive contacts in the entertainment industry for Bands and Tribute Acts.
Marquee Weddings
We have a purpose built landscaped area to house Marquee's for up to 200 guests that can even incorporate a bar, stage and dance floor. Prices are available on request.
Shuttle Service
A complimentary shuttle service is available on the day of your Wedding to and from local churches and accommodation by prior arrangement.
We offer a complimentary 3 month pre-wedding membership at Brampton Manor, with a months free power plate with every booking to help you look and feel great for your big day.
Civil Ceremony Room Hire all day with daytime exclusive use of the Orangery and Terrace until 4pm and evening use of The Monks Refectory
