Description: Mam Tor Loft is a recently converted wing of Mam Tor House which has provided guest accommodation for many years. The 'House' is now a private residence but the 'Loft' scaling four levels into the roof of the Edwardian building, continues to provide a warm welcome.
Situated at the heart of Edale next to the Parish Church we are just six minutes walk from Edale Railway Station and 200 yards to the official start of the Pennine Way. Surrounded by hills leading up to the Kinder Plateau, Mam Tor House provides panoramic views of the hills. It is ideally situated for walking and exploring the Derbyshire countryside. Should you fancy a trip into town, Buxton, Bakewell and Sheffield are within easy reach.
Normally, Bed & Breakfast accommodation is offered but exclusive use on a self-catered basis is possible at certain times of the year.
The accommodation comprises of two en-suite bedrooms and a shared gallery & dining room.
Birch: 1st floor twin bedroom with SkyTV, kettle and toilet/shower facility.
Rowan: 2nd floor double bedroom with SkyTV, kettle & toilet/bath/shower which also includes a single futon.
The gallery contains a selection of books, games, & DVDs.
The dining room has a fridge for guest use and chairs from which you can contemplate the view over Grindsbrook toward the Kinder plateau, or just contemplate.
