Strutt's North Mill, Belper, Home of the Derwent Vally Visitor Centre
The Derwent Valley Visitor Centre, housed in Strutt's North Mill, opens a window on the Derwent Valley with a wealth of information for visitors to the area, including accommodation, visitor attractions and walks. Beyond the visitor centre is the Strutt's North Mill museum.
Visit Belper North Mill, a 'fire-proofed' iron-framed building which influenced the construction of skyscrapers & find out how the Derwent Valley began the Industrial Revolution of the textile industry.
Belper has become a place of interest to visit with beautiful, tranquil riverside walks, fascinating history & architecture. There are pubs & shops to cater for every needs, as well as regular band concerts in the Edwardian River Gardens, which were created in 1906.
Opening Times:
Open Wednesday to Sunday & Bank Holiday Mondays 1pm to 5pm.
In Winter (November to February) Saturday & Sunday, Boxing Day & New Years Day 1pm to 5pm. Free car parking.
