Shopping In Buxton

Buxton is a truly wonderful place to do some shopping, with lots of diverse and different shops littered throughout the streets. With vast and varied shopping arcades built over the River and just off Spring Gardens, there are 30 shops undercover with car parking very close by. If you fancy shopping for local produce, Buxton can certainly cater to your tastes. The town is very walkable and compact with shops altogether in some places, with some stunning architecture showing off their window displays, home to boutique shops which draws visitors from miles around.

A whole host of specialist designer shops and old favourites, there is a mixture of fashion, antiques and craft, as well as wonderful second-hand bookshops and charity shops to find some vintage clothing and add personality to your style. Whatever the weather, even in the pouring rain, there are lots of undercover shopping opportunities in Buxton, with Higher Buxton being an independent village within the town centre, with 80 shops, services and establishments all providing local produce and specialising in fine food. bars and cafes are dotted around most of the town, offering respite and a quick fix for shopaholics. Choose shopping in Buxton and you won't be disappointed.
