The First Grader

Bakewell and Ashford Film Society present The First Grader, based on the true story of a Kenyan named Kimani Maruge, who inisted on his right to education.  He enrolled, aged 80, at a primary school and thus became the oldest primary school student and earned a place in the Guinness Book of Records.    £4 on the door for non-members. Tea, coffee, wine & biscuits served during the interval.
