Beech and Birch Cottages

Beech and Birch Cottages are centrally located in the heart of the picturesque village of Hartington, which is an ideal base from which to explore the Peak District National Park.  The cottages are approximately 200 yards from the local village shops, Post Office and Inns.

The cottages are 3 storey stone cottages, and are adjacent to each other. 

Both cottages have 3 bedrooms and can sleep up to 7 people in each cottage.  Please see sleeping arrangements on the individual cottage pages.  Each cottage has a lawned garden, at the front, with garden furniture and BBQ.  A private off road car parking space is available for one car at each property, with ample additional car parking available on the quiet adjacent road. Secure cycle storage is also available in a locked garage or shed.

The interior of each cottage comprises of Lounge, Kitchen/Diner, Bathroom and three bedrooms.

The cottages are personally supervised by ourselves, and we are close at hand should you need any help or assistance.  We are able to offer you advice on activities and places to visit in the area, as we are “locals”, Fred being born and has lived in Hartington all his life, we have a wealth of local information.  We take pride in our cottages, and our high standard of housekeeping reflects this.

BEECH COTTAGE has AA 4*very good rating.  The cottage is fully heated throughout, with electric storage heaters in each bedroom and the lounge.  The kitchen and bathroom have underfloor heating and the living room also has an inviting coal/log fire(There is an unlimited supply of coal and logs, and all heating is included in the rental) Sleeps 7, in a king size bedroom, a single bedroom and a family room with a double bed and 2 single beds.

BIRCH COTTAGE is tastefully renovated and has a AA 4* excellent rating. The cottage is fully heated throughout with oil central heating, the lounge also has a welcoming wood burning stove ( unlimited supply of logs provided) Sleeps 6+1, with a king size room, a single room (which actually has a double bed but with access from one side only), and a family room with a king size bed and a single bed.
