Ideal for a couple or small group, Godfrey Hole Cottage offers a high standard of accommodation. Traditional features such as the cosy lounge with log burner are combined with modern kitchen, bathroom and free Wi-Fi. There is a terraced rear garden, gravelled ‘boules’ court…and even a visiting peacock!

Just one mile from Carsington Water for sailing, windsurfing, fishing & canoeing. Walkers & cyclists are well catered for with an 8 mile track circling the reservoir.

Local Attractions
The historic market town of Wirksworth is a mile down the hill with its cafes, pubs and antique shops. There are a couple of little restaurants and the wonderful Northern Light Cinema. Known as “the gem of the Peak” it is a quirky, vibrant town with plenty to offer visitors. The narrow alleyways and distinctive architecture make it well worth exploring on foot.

The region boasts an impressive industrial past. The nearby village of Cromford forms part of the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site. Stately homes such as Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall are all within easy reach.
Other local attractions include the National Stone Centre, Crich Tramway Museum, Caudwell’s Mill Craft Centre and Buxton Opera House.
