Set within private grounds just outside the market town of Buxton, Peak View Shepherd Huts offers a unique blend of rustic charm and modern luxury in the heart of the Derbyshire countryside. Perfect for romantic getaways, quiet retreats, or peaceful weekends exploring the Peak District, the huts are designed to offer a tranquil escape all year round.

Each shepherd hut is handcrafted and beautifully styled, featuring high-quality finishes and everything you need for a comfortable stay. Inside, you’ll find a king-sized bed, underfloor heating, a fully equipped kitchenette, and a stylish ensuite shower room. Outside, each hut has its own private decking area with a wood-fired hot tub, fire pit, and seating – ideal for soaking up the views or stargazing at night.

The site is surrounded by rolling hills, open fields, and walking trails, making it easy to connect with nature. Whether you’re relaxing by the fire, enjoying a glass of wine in the hot tub, or heading out for a day of walking, cycling, or visiting nearby attractions, Peak View offers the perfect base.

Ample parking, a peaceful location, and attention to detail in every hut make this a standout destination for those looking to escape the everyday and enjoy the slower pace of rural life.

 Wooly’s Hut
Wooly’s Hut was named after one of our favourite sheep from over the years. Wooly was given to us as an old man when he outgrew his previous home, a local farmhouse in which he used to live indoors and even wore a dog collar with his name on.

This hut, like our others, is larger than average and fitted with a combination of traditional and up to date accessories including free WIFI. As soon as you walk through the stable style door you’re greeted with a comfy British wool double sofa.

Look to your left and you’ve got a delightfully soft fixed double bed with a 32″ smart TV/DVD player. Facing the bed is a cast iron log burner keeping you warm during the colder evenings with glowing flames from locally sourced wood. We’ve also fitted an internal heating system with Nest thermostat so you can ensure the temperature is just right when you return from enjoying the unrivalled local views.

On your right we’ve ensured you’ve got 2 electric induction hobs, kettle, microwave, farmhouse style ceramic sink, plenty of cupboard space and all the essentials for your cooking needs. Last but definately not least is the end en suite bathroom with a spacious walk in shower, comfortable toilet and elegant ceramic wash bowl.

Outside the Hut there’s our beautiful new wood fired eco hot tub to soak in the stunning views, spacious wooden decking with table and seating as well as an embracing fire pit. There is also private parking close to each Hut.

This Hut really does have everything you need to ensure your Glamping experience is unforgettable.

Eric’s Hut

Eric’s Hut was named after a pet Guanaco, Eric. Guanacos are of the same family as Llamas and Alpacas and he was a great “guard” animal to the chickens, protecting them from foxes especially at night. . Eric’s Hut is also the twin of Meadow Hut, with a similar layout and size but beautifully individual stylings.

This hut, like our others, is larger than average and fitted with a combination of traditional and up to date accessories including free WIFI. As soon as you walk through the double door you’re greeted with a comfy double sofa.

Look to your left and you’ve got a delightfully soft fixed king size bed with a 32″ TV/DVD player. Next to the bed is a rustic set of drawers to organise your belongings and feel even more at home.

On your right we’ve ensured you’ve got 2 electric induction hob, kettle, microwave, farmhouse style ceramic sink, plenty of cupboard space and all the essentials for your cooking needs. Meadow Hut

Meadow Hut is the twin of Eric’s Hut, with a similar layout and size but beautifully individual stylings and new for 2018, our beautiful wood fired eco hot tub.

This hut, like our others, is larger than average and fitted with a combination of traditional and up to date accessories including free WIFI and Bluetooth speakers.

As soon as you walk through the double door you’re greeted with a comfy leather double sofa.
