Welcome to Riding House Farm Cottages – family run cottages at Castleton, Derbyshire, in the the heart of the Peak District National Park. The selfcatering holiday cottages nestle on the slopes of Lose Hill in the Hope Valley, offering panoramic views over the Hope Valley, Castleton and its famous cavens and historic Peveril Castle.

Riding House Farm

Riding House Farm is a traditional Derbyshire hill farm rearing beef and sheep on about 140 acres of hill land. It nestles under the Losehill Ridge with wonderful south facing views across the Hope Valley. If you bring your wellies you will be able to see the newborn lambs in Spring, visit the calf house and even feed the hens! There is an abundance of wildlife around especially in our own secluded bluebell wood.

It is a walkers’ paradise with direct access to the footpath network. From your doorstep you can take the footpath directly to Lose Hill Ridge and enjoy another spectacular view over the Edale Valley to the famous Kinder Scout.

The three cottages have been created from an ancient stone barn into two lovely self-contained holiday cottages offering the highest standard of accommodation and comfort including high speed WIFi yet retaining many original features. They have both been awarded the coveted 5-star grading Gold Award – the highest grade given by the tourist authority.
