Speedwell Barn was originally the Barn to Speedwell House when accommodation was provided in the 1800’s to travellers across the Peak District. Today, Speedwell Barn has been fully renovated, into cosy, affordable Self Catering Accommodation in Castleton. The Self Catering Barn offers many of today’s modern comforts, such as Wi-Fi, on-demand TV and modern cooking appliances, whilst still retaining a lot of the building original features.Speedwell Barn has en-suite facilities, one double bedroom – this is on a mezzanine floor accessed by a spiral staircase, kitchen with dining area, lounge with double bed settee. This is all complete with stunning views of Peveril Castle and Lose Hill and access to our field to walk the dogs as both Speedwell Barn and Speedwell Stable are pet-friendly.
