The Scotsmans Pack

Prior to the 18th Century there were few roads in Derbyshire. The Scotsmans Pack stands on one of the old tracks leading to Sheffield and the Sheffield Manor Castle. It was a regular calling place for food and shelter for the ‘Packman’ or ‘Travelling Drapers’ who visited every farm and village in the area offering there goods and carrying news-packmen from Scotland sold there tweeds here to the local farmers.Our traditional pub with en-suite bedrooms is located in the beautiful Derbyshire village of Hathersage in the Peak District.Popular tourism destinations including Chatsworth House and the market town of Bakewell are just a short drive away and we also have some beautiful walks and cycling trails on our doorstep.

Our five classic bedrooms are spacious and comfortably furnished. Each room has an en-suite bathroom, all with a bath and shower, and a shower in the single.

Our guests have the option to dine in our restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We can also provide packed lunches for guests walking, cycling and exploring the surrounding Peak District countryside.
