Sitting in the middle of stunning Derbyshire countryside, The White Hart Inn is a classic English inn given a swirl of modernity thanks to a recent renovation.

Reclaimed brick and stone walls with solid oak beams mean the original character of the building has stayed intact but expect plenty of 21st century touches. Bedrooms feature stylish fabrics with on-trend wallpapers, crisp white bed linens and chic scatter cushions.

Downstairs the welcoming wood-panelled bar serves real ales, cocktails and everything in between while the restaurant dishes up homemade meals using locally-sourced ingredients.

Accommodation

We make every effort to make you feel welcome and ensure you enjoy your stay with us. All our premium country suites are individually designed to the highest standard, with added extras and a selection of beverages in each room.

We currently have 17 luxury en-suite rooms. Including three premium suites and a deluxe honeymoon suite, The Hart Suite. All premium suites include jacuzzi baths and one a Juliette balcony that showcases our stunning countryside location. The Hart Suite also boasts incredible views from a Juliette balcony, with a top specification jacuzzi bath and sauna with built in sound system and waterfall shower.

Food

Here at the White Hart Inn we take pride in being able to deliver quality dishes every day of the week.
Our committed team of Chefs use locally sourced ingredients and the finest produce to bring you the ultimate dining experience.

Our varied menu boasts a number of delicious starters such as our spiced duck fritter with kohlrabi slaw, and goats cheese bon bons with candied walnuts. Or for a more traditional approach and perfect for the season, we have a Chef’s choice of kitchen soup served with homemade bread.

Our mains are all specially selected with the most exquisite of flavour combinations.

Adopt the country spirit with our ‘proper’ game pasty with baby root vegetables, or our poached Scottish trout served with white wine shallot and mussel linguine. For a more conventional yet still mouth-watering option, we offer dishes such as fish and chips and our ever popular White Hart Burger.

The dishes on our dessert menu are all exclusively crafted and styled to perfection. A sweet tooth’s heaven with a bitter chocolate fondant and our lemon posset. For a more savoury palette we offer British cheeses and biscuits – equally as delicious.

Weddings

For weddings The White Hart Inn offers something special. Our reception room has its own bar, toilets and opens out on to a private terrace area for guests. The room can seat up to 120 for wedding breakfasts and 180 for evening guests.

We can cater for any wedding whether it is a full 3 course wedding breakfast, Hog Roast or barbecue. Our service is bespoke and we promise to make every effort to ensure the most important day in your life goes perfectly and will be a memorable one for everyone.

The White Hart Inn is licensed for Civil Ceremonies and your civil marriage ceremony will be held in our specially designed function room. The room can comfortably hold up to 80 guests for your ceremony and again with our flexibility we can discuss accommodating more guests if needed.
