Broadhay Simulated Game Shooting

Situated in the Peak National Park, Broadhay Farm nestles in the Hope Valley, where easy access to all parts of the beautiful Derbyshire countryside can be visited.

Close at hand are the historic villages of Eyam and Castleton, with its famous Blue John caverns. The market town of Bakewell, renown for its cattle markets as well as its Bakewell Puddings is only a short drive away. Furthermore, the Stately homes of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are close at hand all offering great days out and points of interest for all the family.

Within the village of Hathersage itself are a number of country inns, hotels and restaurants to suit all tastes in both food and accommodation.

Andrew and John have been shooting together for over 15 years. John having gained the accreditation of a BASC coach and both being keen game shooters decided to set up traditional style simulated game shooting at Broadhay – the home of Andrew’s family and the working farm, where he has been for his whole life.

Having run a local shoot for the last 20 years which was more of a social event which specialized in hospitality than competition, he felt the time was right to take his ideas further and so the idea of ‘Broadhay Simulated Game Shooting’ was born.

Simulated Game Shooting 
‘Broadhay Simulated Game’ is offering traditional style simulated game shooting with a twist of exhilaration, anticipation and excitement. You will enjoy the stunning views from a working farm, of the picturesque Hope Valley set in the heart of the Derbyshire Peak District.
Displays of pheasant, partridge and duck will keep your concentration on edge, whether you are an experienced game shooter or novice gun. Targets simulate driven high pheasants, fast partridges and even flighting duck. However the targets can easily be tailored to suit your requirements.
Clients will be split into small groups and taught gun safety and handling before they take a shot at their first of many clays of the day. Your team of guns will shoot on a number of drives, with two guns per peg each taking it in turns to shoot and load.

The day is ideal for Corporate Hospitality – the venue has been carefully chosen for clients to enjoy a very private day for themselves and their guests. The day is organized to the very highest standards and every effort is made to ensure that guns enjoy a memorable day’s shooting. Whatever your needs, we will endeavor to do our very best to tailor the whole day’s experience to suit your requirements.
The organizer of the day must make certain that any novice or inexperienced shooter that is not partnered with our instructor or what we deem as an experienced shooter, will not be allowed to take part in the day’s shooting.
Guns providing their own cartridges must ensure they are not plastic wads but FIBRE ONLY
