My name is Peter Lax and I am a Professional Game Angling Instructor qualified at GAIC Level for Game Angling Techniques with a Single Handed Rod. I am also a UKCC Licensed Level 2 Game Angling Coach.

I offer Fly-fishing Lessons, tuition, coaching & guiding in and around North East Derbyshire & South Yorkshire.

Improvers Session (River or Small Stillwater) – One to One or Small Groups -Full or Half Day – designed for those who do Fly Fish but want to be more successful or just want to learn more & improve their skills.
These sessions are tailored to the individual & can include:
Introduction to the Fly Tackle & Tackle Set Up
Basic entomology
Casting – Overhead, Roll, Speys, Hauls, Mends etc.

Fishing Techniques:-
Dry Fly, Emerger, Wet Fly, Nymph, Rolled/Czech Nymph, North Country Spider, Fishing Teams of Flies, New Zealand Method, Duo & Trio Method,Lure Fishing.
Watercraft
Loan of Tackle – if required.

We are blessed locally with some excellent River & Stillwater Fisheries & I have access, for my clients, to some of the very best of these.

I have fished since I was 4 years old and it is still the almost child like pleasure of beautiful surroundings & the expectation of outwitting our fastest & most beautiful freshwater predators that takes me back. 
 
Fly Fishing started some 2000 years ago as a pastime & recreation. It exists for the purpose of giving pleasure & fun rather than filling a larder. My tuition sessions are designed to be enjoyable with a friendly helpful atmosphere. So if you would like to try “Hunting with a Fishing Rod” then you & I will get along just fine.
