Weasked: What are the priorities in your neighbourhood?
You said: Nuisance and damage at Bakewell Recreation Ground.
We did: Increased patrols at key times. Seized alcohol from persons under the legal age to drink. Worked with Derbyshire Dales Community Safety Partnership to organise sports coaching sessions with staff from Sporting Futures.
You said: Vehicles contravening the Access Only restrictions at Holywell, Dagnall Gardens, Wyebank and Wyedale Drive, Bakewell, making it difficult to park.
We did: Increased patrols to the areas, placing advisory notices on vehicles that are accessing and parking on the roads without justification. We are supporting and working with Derbyshire County Council Highways department to look at improving the signage in these areas.
You said: Anti-social behaviour in the bus stop in Rutland Square, Bakewell
We did: Increased patrols to speak to youngsters. They have been invited to meetings at Bakewell Town Council, who own the bus stop, to help work together for a solution which will help to reduce anti-social behaviour. We have held Ozbox sessions at Bakewell Town Hall with help from Bakewell Town Council and Community Trust, to provide an alternative activity for youngsters. These sessions have been free of charge for all local youngsters between the ages of 11 and 19.
