The Tissington Trail is a very easy route, totally flat and accessible for pushchairs and wheelchairs alike. It is a gentle stroll or a race between cycles, it all depends on your mood and the type of holiday you would wish to have. Bed-and-breakfast on the Tissington Trail guarantees a fuel stop in the morning, a sumptuous breakfast provided by your landlord or lady who will have no doubt pampered to your every whim. Why not ask for a picnic to be packed up or wander into one of the villages and pick up some group to take off for the day. With mostly gentle gradients, it’s a joy to either cycle or walk and on the side of a disused railway. The mainly flat trail takes you through some absolutely scrummy scenery, meadows of farmland and lush green fields to be able to take off from the trail anytime you wish and find time to picnic alone.
Passing close to Hartington and Dove Dale, it offers distractions and other picturesque villages and Tissington village itself has a fantastic Hall t o explore and duck pond to view. With so many sites to see, take it all in your stride or cycle as fast or slow as you feel the need. If you are feeling more adventurous then why not join up with the High Peak Trail for a more strenuous route, but be warned it 73 miles long! The most beautiful parts of the White Peak is brought to life at the Tissington Trail and you’ll be very glad you’ve made the right choice in choosing bed-and-breakfast here to be able to take off at will and return when you like.
