Carsington Bird Clubwww.carsingtonbirdclub.co.uk Dorothy Evans – 01246 238421 – Carsington Bird Club was formed in 1992 when the construction of Carsington Reservoir was completed, landscaped and opened to the public for various outdoor activities. The concept was to get together a group of interested people to monitor and encourage the birds and wildlife around the reservoir and to help with any conservation work that would encourage as many species as possible into the area. There have been 206 bird species recorded around the reservoir so far and we have dedicated a page to this list…

Derby Natural History Society Derby Natural history Society was founded just over 100 years ago. RSPB Burton and South Derbyshire Local Group

The group’s aim is to promote the enjoyment of birds and the work of the RSPB. We hold indoor meetings on the second Wednesday of some months, between September and May.

We also organise field trips on a monthly basis, either locally by car or further afield by minibus. So, if you would like to have fun and meet like minded people contact us and help make a difference for birds and wildlife..
