Blackwell in the Peak is a pretty little hamlet with some really spectacular scenery nearby. Between the main villages of Buxton and Bakewell on the A6, it is essentially an agricultural settlement but it provides some great facilities for the holidaymaker with excellent caravanning campsites and self catering accommodation.
The former Midland Railway route from Manchester to London has now been converted for walkers is the Monsal Trail nearby and there is some spectacular scenery in the Chee Dale area providing riverside path and a haven for wildlife.
There are some great bus services via country in is nearby and Buxton is a short drive away with lots to see and do.
