CONKERS, located at the Heart of the National Forest five miles from Junction 11 on the M42, is a unique mix of indoor and outdoor hands on experiences which keep visitors engaged for hours.

Visitors to the popular family attraction, CONKERS, will get the experience of a lifetime when they venture into the indoor Tree Top Adventure Walk,’ which has been funded by East Midlands Development Agency (emda). It is the first exhibit of its kind in Europe.

In the indoor Tree Top Adventure Walk’, visitors will embark on a terrifying journey that takes them high up above the existing exhibits and into the dense, dark woodland canopy at night.

  • Kids Section Indoors there are 4 discovery zones designed for children and adults of all ages. We have an indoor play centre for children at Waterside. Visit our Kids section
  • Interactive Tour 23 different outdoor activities: including lakeside walks, sculpture & nature trails, an assault course, train rides, playgrounds & water play!
  • Education An educational resource that ties in with the National Curriculum.
  • Facilities Lakeside restaurants, specialist shops and a plant centre.
  • Events Regular workshops, craft and music events for children and adults, and ranger led activities.

CONKERS the hands on experience is open all year round and is only five miles from Junction 11 on the M42. Suitable for a day out anytime of the year, fun, entertainment and discovery are all rolled into one. Children and adults can explore the interactive exhibits indoors, tackle the assault course outdoors and take a ride on our steam train.

  • 10 am – 5pm (Winter)
  • Last admission 1 hour before closeToilets and Baby Changing Facilities
    Toilets and baby changing facilities are available.

    Disabled Facilities
    Disabled access indoors at the Discovery Centre and Waterside including toilets, restaurants and shops. Outdoors the train and a good proportion of the trails are wheelchair friendly. There is also designated parking and mobility buggies are available with a driver, which need to be pre-booked, please call reception on 01283 216633.
