Hope Valley Ice Cream is made in our dairy right here at Thorpe Farm, in the heart of the Hope Valley, in the beautiful Peak District National Park.
Hope Valley Ice Cream is run by the Marsden Family, who’ve been dairy farmers here for generations. We started milking cows at Thorpe Farm over 300 years ago, and by adding value to our milk, we hope to be milking cows here in the Hope Valley for the next 300 years. By visiting our farm and buying our ice cream you can help us make our hope a reality!
We welcome visitors to the farm, for guided tours of our dairy herd and milking parlour and to see how we make our ice cream. There are self-guided trails around the farm too.
After you’ve explored the farm, you can reward yourself by a visit to our Ice Cream Parlour which is open from 12 – 5 pm every day. Here you can enjoy or ice cream, or our uber fresh latte, hot chocolate, which comes directly from Moo to Mug where the frothing pasteurises the raw milk. We also sell homegrown Aberdeen Angus burgers and paninis.
