Welcome to The Eating House in Calver, Hope Valley!

We are a friendly cafe in the heart of the beautiful Peak District. Whether you are on holiday, out walking, visiting nearby Chatsworth House or en-route to Chesterfield, Sheffield or beyond you will always find a warm welcome and fine food and drink available here. Or, Why not make make a day of your visit?

Pop in for breakfast or lunch then spend an hour or so browsing the fabulous array of curios in the Craft Centre.

You could have a look round the Calver Mill Gallery, take a stroll to the River or down to Baslow for some retail therapy then finish your visit by treating yourself to one of our home-made cakes, or if you’re feeling really peckish after your busy afternoon, treat yourself to our decadent Afternoon Tea.
